Estée Lauder Double Wear Concealer

I have been desperate to try out the Estée Lauder Double Wear concealer for months. I've seen people raving about the foundation, and really wanted to get my hands on the concealer in hopes it would be just as good. Thankfully Andy bought me it for my birthday way back in March, so i've had plenty of time of test it out and let you guys know what I think of it!

The Packaging and Pricing
Fitst of all I'm in love with the royal blue and gold packaging, it just screams 'high end brand', unlike Benefit's Boi-ing concealer which looks a tad on the cheap side in my opinion. The concealer has a RRP of £22, which is pretty much what you'd expect to pay for a high end product so I wasn't overly shocked at the price.

The Product
The wand has a doe foot applicator which allows liquid to pool within it, making it ideal for quick application. I found the concealer to be light, creamy and really blendable; it covers the red pigmentation of spots and broken capillaries quite well, but didn't do that great of a job at covering up my cholesterol marks and dark circles which was a bit disappointingEstée Lauder claim the product lasts 15 hours, however I beg to differ; I'd say it lasts about 4/5 hours at the most before needing reapplication.

Overall I give this product a grade of 7/10. I'd say stick to Collection's Lasting Perfection concealer as it has a much better coverage and doesn't cost as much, so you can spend those extra pennies on more make up!

Have you tried out the Estée Lauder Double Wear concealer?

  1. I loved the look of this, but as you just mentioned the Collection one, I think I'll go for that instead of shelling out the money, even though they are super pretty! :)
