A Summer Homeware Haul*

As you can imagine, buying and furnishing a home can be quite expensive; let alone adding those little finishing touches to the place! Ocean Loans kindly gifted me £50 to spruce up our home for the Summer months, so for this post i'll be showing you guys what I picked up.

It's amazing what adding a few accessories here and there can do to the place, its really starting to feel like home. I decided to spend the money on sprucing up the living room and dining room areas, as they were both looking a little bare. Both rooms aren't quite finished yet, but they're definitely on their way to getting there now they have a couple of extra accessories in them. My first purchase was the beautiful teal coloured Chenille cushions from Matalan (priced at £4.20 each, usually £6). I paired the teal cushions with our grey sofas to add a pop of colour, and complement the feature wall which I think works really well. The fireplace is 100% my favourite part of the house, and to be honest I had been dying to add a lantern to it since the moment we came to view the house. All those hours sitting on pinterest have definitely thinking i'm an interior designer! I already had the lantern of choice picked out and ready to go, I picked it up in Matalan for about £10, and the simple white candle within it from Asda for £3.

My dining room at the moment is very white. Don't get me wrong I do love the whole clean white look, but I felt as though it needed a little bit of colour in the form of the artificial Fekja plant (£5), which I paired of course with a white Kardemumma plant pot (£2.50) from IKEA. My final purchase was the four pack of reversible leather coasters and place mats from Next at Home for £15, the black and grey tie in absolutely perfectly with my kitchen.

I hope you guys enjoyed the haul, I hope to be back with a couple more in the near future!
