The Bedroom Update

Updating the bedroom has been on my to-do list for quite some time now. When we first moved in we bought the cheapest possible bedding, and to be honest it looked horrendous. Thankfully I recently had some spare cash to pick up some new bedding and a little bit of decor to spruce the place up a bit more.

The bed was bought when we first moved in from George at Asda, its definitely one of my favourite pieces of furniture in the house as it just looks so classy and a lot more expensive than it actually was. Both the mattress and 'Antonio Scroll' frame came to around £450 for a king size, so yeah pretty damn good. I picked up the bedding from Primark for a steal at £12, its a beautiful teal and grey paisley print with a reversible grey and white paisley print. Primark bedding definitely has to be up there with my favourites, its wonderfully designed, great quality and doesn't cost a fortune, the ideal purchase really. Sitting rather prettily on top of the bed is the Zoella Lifestyle sweet dreams cushion which I picked up for £18 from Superdrug.
The bedside table i'm sure you will have all realised is an IKEA special, the hemnes chest of 2 drawers in white stain priced at £80, which is basically just a simple sleek addition to the bedroom alongside the chest of 8 drawers (which aren't pictured). The green forest poster and frame were both purchased from Desenio a couple of months back now for around £70. I agree if you're thinking thats quite pricey for a poster, and must admit it was a bit of an impulse buy from me but it does look stunning and finishes off the room quite well. Last but definitely not least is the Argos home coral curved table lamp priced at £19.99, this definitely had me hooked as soon as I spotted it thanks to its stylish vintage vibe.

  1. I love this entire room! Beautifully styled

  2. Love the headboard! We are hoping to move into a new build and I needed ideas for beds/frames etc so thanks :) Great post!!
